Buffalo school students talk with International Space Station

Students from the Harvey Austin School ask questions of Astronaut Tim Kopra on board the International Space Station.

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Students from Harvey Austin Elementary School PS97 had the opportunity to talk with the International Space Station on Tuesday.

Buffalo State’s Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium helped students talk with the International Space Station for a live question and answer session with a NASA astronaut.

Timothy Kopra was able to answer about 17 questions from about a dozen students.

Students prepared by learning about NASA and researching the International Space Station.
