Williamsville Jeweler Accused of Selling Fake Diamonds

A Williamsville jeweler is facing charges for allegedly selling jewelry that he misrepresented as diamonds.

AMHERST, NY - A Williamsville jeweler is facing charges for allegedly selling jewelry that he misrepresented as diamonds.

Amherst Police have charged Paul Blarr, 47, with three counts of grand larceny and one count of scheme to defraud.

Police are continuing to investigate Blarr's business, R.S.N.P. Diamond Exchange on Main Street in the village of Williamsville.

Anyone who may have purchased jewelry from Blarr, or his business, is asked to have their jewelry checked for authenticity.

If you are a victim, you're asked to contact Amherst Police Department 716-689-1340.

The Amherst police department has released a statement requesting that due to the large response from customers concerned they may be victims of this crime, that you please do as follows:

  • If you feel you may be a victim to please take your jewelry to a jeweler that has the ability to test diamonds for moissonite or any other man made stones regardless of your piece's purchase or service date.

  • Any matters regarding items on consignment or left to be repaired should be addressed with R.S.N.P. Diamond Exchange at their new location 1408 Sweet Home Road – Suite #2, Amherst, NY.

  • If you have determined that you are a victim contact the Amherst Police at 689-1340, and press option 2 to leave a message with your name and phone numbers. Please only leave one message and we will get back to you in a timely fashion.
