Mom of a Niagara Falls homicide victim says domestic violence is to blame

The first homicide of 2024 in Niagara Falls was a 34-year-old woman. The mother of Tania Wilson spoke exclusively with 2 On Your Side.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Three days after turning 34 years old Tania Wilson was killed inside her Niagara Falls home on Orleans Avenue, Niagara Falls police said the victim's 12-year-old child called 911.

Wilson was found stabbed to death in her kitchen.

Cindy Wilson is the victim's mother.  She said her daughter was "butchered."

The mother of four was in her home with her children at the time of the crime. The suspect, now charged with second-degree murder is identified as the boyfriend.  Keith William Hill of Buffalo is in jail without bail awaiting trial.

Cindy Wilson says her daughter was a victim of domestic violence and she saw the aftermath. "She would have a bloody nose."

"She tried to get away from him plenty of times, but he's he's a manipulator. He's big, he's a bully,  he threatened. the whole family. Every time she tried to leave him, he'd say 'Oh, I'm gonna kill your mother. I'm gonna kill your brother. I'm gonna kill your sister. I'm gonna kill you," Cindy said.

A homegoing service for Tania will be held on Thursday.
