ALBION, NY-- Three young people accused of burning two crosses on the lawn of a mosque in rleans county are due back in court today.

Jarod Biemans,20, and two teens are facing several hate crime charges including criminal mischief, and arson. All have pleaded not guilty and were released last week into the custody of their parents.

Deputies were called to the World Sufi Foundation Mosque on Fuller Road around 9:30 p.m. last week. When they got there they found someone had apparently poured some type of accelerant on the front lawn and set it on fire. A similar, smaller cross was burned in the lawn near the southwest corner of the property.

The District Attorney from Orleans County, Joseph Cardone, said that all three of the individuals had been cooperative with law enforcement throughout the process.

Cardone also added that they "also expressed their remorse for what it is that's transpired."
