BUFFALO, NY-- Carl Paladino and his business partner Victor Liberatore, Sr. are the new owners of a 13-acre piece of riverfront property next to the RiverWorks site.

They bought the Ganson Street property at auction on Thursday for $2.17 million.

The pair doesn't have any firm plans for the land right now, but Paladino wants to keep it a commercial area. He is currently working on a residential development on the opposite side of the river.

"What was thought of back in the 80s and 70s about the silos, that they were ugly, now they are treasures," said Paladino. "It's a different perspective. Things have changed in that direction. The silos have, old industrial area, has a certain attractiveness. Showing off what we were at one time, and maybe it can come back again."

The property was previously owned by Man O' Trees. It was sold as is, and includes two thousand feet of river frontage.
