BUFFALO, N.Y. — Built as an opulent, private residence in the late 1890s, a pair of Delaware Avenue “midway” row houses — including one that housed Lord Chumley’s restaurant — will be returning to residential usage.

Nicholas Jerge, son of real estate investor James Jerge, has purchased neighboring row houses at 491 Delaware Avenue and 493 Delaware Avenue, respectively. Jerge paid $750,000 for the two buildings that had been owned by restaurateur Mark Jaworski’s Brownstones Delaware LLC, according to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk’s office. Jerge plans on renovating the buildings into his private residence.
