BUFFALO, N.Y. — Connecticut Street Creamery has opened at 401 Connecticut St. in Buffalo, just around the corner from D’Youville University on the West Side.

The shop, a venture from Heidi Lunden and her son, Parker Pare, opened March 4 in a 1,200-square-foot space that previously housed a laundromat. In the next 30 to 60 days, plans call for expanding into an adjoining 400-square-foot space with a candy shop, which will also allow her to expand from a few small tables to seating for 24. A back patio offers additional seating.

Already, the menu includes Hershey’s ice cream, milkshakes, bubble teas and coffee drinks, as well as bubble waffles and freeze-dried candy. She also offers gourmet hot chocolate made with Parkside Chocolates truffles.
