When it comes to the food menu, the two are planning to start small with classic tavern selections.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A South Buffalo tavern will get a rebranding once again under new management.

The Dog & Pony Saloon will take the place of the Tillerman at 2115 Seneca St., formerly home to Schupper Club and Manny’s.

The building was acquired three years ago Hook & Ladder Development, which split up this summer. Peter Scarcello Jr. kept control of the Seneca Street property and most of the company’s portfolio.

The company had planned to reopen as the Tillerman, with hired help set to manage the place. That plan later shifted to find an operator to lease the site.
