WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — In his second deal since Jan. 1, a Buffalo hotelier has added another property to his portfolio.

Jay Patel's Rudra Management paid $3.95 million for Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham at 8005 Sheridan Drive in Williamsville. It bought the 99-room hotel from Erie, Pennsylvania-based Scott Enterprises.

Plans call for renovations and a name change at the hotel located across from the Olive Garden at the corner of Transit Road. Originally built as a Staybridge Suites in 2008, Patel will switch back to that national brand, making it the second Staybridge in his portfolio.  You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website
