WEST SENECA, N.Y. — Are you a current or past military member looking for a furry friend?

The SPCA Serving Erie County is bringing back its popular Vets & Pets offer starting Saturday.

Adoption fees on most animals will be waived for those on active duty, reserves and honorable discharge, along with service-disabled veterans and those retired from military service. Military ID or DD214 will need to be presented.

The promotion starts Saturday, May 18 and runs through Monday, May 27 at the SPCA's 300 Harlem Road shelter in West Seneca and all SPCA offsite adoption locations.

Please note, the SPCA in West Seneca is closed for the final day of Vets & Pets on that Monday, May 27, but many of its offsite locations will be open that day. Look here for a list of offsite locations and photos of animals available for adoption.
