Buffalo, NY -- The "I Do Love Buffalo" Business and Event Expo highlighting companies in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community debuted at Statler City Thursday night.
The more than forty companies that took part support the LGBT community, and the majority are also owned by members of it.
The event also included a fashion show featuring local models. Organizers say people not only from the Buffalo area, but from Rochester and Syracuse attended as well.
"We are able to do this in Buffalo and I know there are a lot of places that can't, you know, and we just wanted to be able to say look at us, look what we can do. I mean, just look around you, it's amazing," says event organizer Heather Bellini.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Pride Center of Western New York. The theme of the event was: "What does marriage equality mean to you?"
