Families have fun during Village of Angola Easter egg hunt

More than 100 people of all ages came out to the event, which offered 3,000 eggs waiting to be found.

ANGOLA, N.Y. — A sea of pastel-colored Easter eggs could be seen in the grass along Main Street in the Village of Angola on Saturday morning.

That's where Angola's Taste of the Midway hosted its 19th annual Easter egg hunt for kids ages 10 and under. More than 100 people came out to the event, which offered 3,000 eggs hidden in areas such as the pickleball courts and grass near the Midway restaurant.

"Next year is our 20th anniversary of opening, and we will have a super special egg hunt event next year to celebrate even bigger than this year's," The Midway told 2 On Your Side late Saturday night.

The egg hunt has been happening for 19 years, with only one delay in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Midway held an "Uncle Sam's 4th of July Egg Hunt" that year in its place.
