CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, N.Y. — Cattaraugus County Deputies there spent Wednesday morning delivering presents and dinners to dozens of families all over the county.
Deputies been collecting them all year, and finally, they got to play Santa and spread some cheer, something that makes a big difference in the communities they serve.
"It's awesome to see their reactions. They're so thankful. We actually have drives at all the schools to get personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies, and we give those along with the presents and the meal and they're so surprised and so thankful. So it's awesome, it's an awesome feeling. That's why I have these guys volunteer. They love to do it," said Lieutenant Melanie Churakos, Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.
