Lineup revealed for September's Borderland Festival

The Black Crowes will headline the three-day event, scheduled for Sept. 13-15 at Knox Farm State Park.

EAST AURORA, N.Y. — The lineup for September's Borderland Festival has been announced.

The Black Crowes will headline the three-day event, scheduled for Sept. 13-15 at Knox Farm State Park. 

Artists who will perform at this year's Borderland Festival include: Caamp, Marcus King, Dark Star Orchestra, Cory Wong, The Wood Brothers, The Wailers, Houndmouth, The Sheepdogs, Sierra Hull, Eggy, The Dip, Wilderado, Sumbuck, and The Rumble, among others.

Western New York artists who will take the stage include Handsome Jack, Annie In The Water, Folkfaces Tribute to “John Prine,” Uncle Ben’s Remedy, Big Martha: An Allman Brothers Experience, Fuzzy & The Rusbelts, Borderland Dead All-Stars, Buffalo Brass Machine, and Buffalo Music Club’s “Borderland Band Camp.”

There will also be a Battle Of the Borderland Band Contest for the first time in five years. The winning band will be invited to perform on the main stage.

The Atlanta-based Black Crowes rose to fame in 1990, with the release of "Shake Your Money Maker," which included the singles "Jealous Again," "Twice As Hard," "Hard to Handle," and "She Talks to Angels."

The band released "The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" in 1992, with "Remedy" as its first single.

Presale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Borderland website. Two hours later, public ticket sales will start.

A variety of ticket passes will be made available to concert-goers, including tent and RV options.
