Buffalo Sabres going global in 2024-25 season

The Sabres will finish training camp with an exhibition game in Munich, Germany against the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) club Red Bull Munich Sept. 27.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres will kick start the 2024-25 regular season in Europe with games in Prague, Czechia against the New Jersey Devils, according to their website.

These games, which will be played Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 are part of the 2024 NHL Global Series. 

The Sabres will finish training camp with an exhibition game in Munich, Germany against  the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) club Red Bull Munich on Friday, September 27. 

Tickets for the games in Prague go on sale Thursday, March 21 at 5AM EST. Tickets for the game in Munich will go on sale Tuesday, May 7.

Fans who wish to attend the games in Europe can purchase the Global Series Travel Package, which will include hotel, airfare, and game tickets.  You can  sign up here to learn when the packages will become available. 

This isn't the first time the Sabres' have traveled to Europe to play a regular season game. The team played in both Finland and Germany in 2011 as part of the NHL Premiere and then in Sweden in the 2019 Global Series.
