Sabres announce new start time for Monday's home game vs. Sharks

The change was made after the Bills' wild card playoff game was pushed back from 1 p.m. Sunday to 4:30 p.m. Monday, citing safety issues.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres had a game scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday with the San Jose Sharks. That has since changed.

"Due to the timing change of the Bills playoff game, our game this Monday has been changed to 12 p.m.," the Sabres posted on social media Saturday afternoon, alerting fans it has been moved up an hour earlier.

The change was made after the Bills' wild card playoff game was pushed back from 1 p.m. Sunday to 4:30 p.m. Monday, citing safety issues with a snow storm on the way.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul made the announcement on the Bills playoff game during a noon news conference Saturday in Cheektowaga.

"The snow, the wind and frigid temperatures, wind gusts and chills leading us down to single digits of zero to nine degrees. These conditions will make travel extraordinarily dangerous with whiteout conditions, nearly impossible to see," the governor said.
