Report: Bills McDermott finalist for NFL coach of the year honors

The Bills have made the playoffs twice in McDermott's three years at the helm. Both times they lost in the wild card round.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bills head coach Sean McDermott is reportedly a finalist for NFL coach of the year honors. 

Vic Carucci from Sports Talk Live and the Buffalo News was the first to report that McDermott was a finalist. The award will be given out on Saturday night at the NFL Honors award show in Miami 

McDermott guided the Bills to a 10-6 record this season. The Bills have made the playoffs twice in McDermott's three years at the helm. Both times they lost in the wild card round.

McDermott is 25-23 in his three years with the Bills and 0-2 in the playoffs. The Bills were 6-10 in 2018 and 10-6 in 2019.
