BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Brooklyn-based bishop in charge of investigating the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo made his first visit to Buffalo.

We reported earlier this week that Bishop Nicholas Dimarzio was chosen by the Vatican to conduct a fact-finding mission of the Buffalo Diocese.

Thursday, the Brooklyn Diocese confirmed that Dimarzio was here earlier in the week and interviewed more than 30 people.

The Brooklyn Diocese says he plans to return later this month.

Bishop Dimarzio will submit his report to the Vatican once all his work here is done.
