Lockport woman struck by 2 vehicles taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC

The woman hit the car's windshield, rolled off the vehicle and landed in the westbound lane, where she was struck by a second vehicle.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A pedestrian who was struck by two vehicles in the Town of Lockport was transported via Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center on Sunday evening.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says the pedestrian, a woman from Lockport, attempted to cross Robinson Road (Route 93) when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle at 5:17 p.m. Sunday.

The sheriff's office said the woman hit the car's windshield, rolled off the vehicle and landed in the westbound lane, where she was struck by a second vehicle.

There was no update on the woman's condition at ECMC, and the incident is under investigation.

Robinson Road was closed east of Transit Road (Route 78), from Beattie Avenue to Snyder Drive, at around 5:30 p.m. because of the crash.

The road reopened around 8 p.m.
