BUFFALO, N.Y. — If you and your family are looking for a different winter sport to try, we've got one for you at Canalside.
Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports is offering free sled hockey throughout the winter.
Organizers are hoping the free trials will help get more people in the area interested in the sport.
"We give everyone an opportunity to actually get in the sled and try it," Norm Page of the Sled Hockey Foundation said. "And it also creates awareness for our athletes that have disabilities that play sled hockey as well as the different sports that we offer with our foundation."
Sled Hockey will be offered every other Saturday until February 15 at Canalside, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
