ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — Erie County Comptroller Stefan Mychajliw told 2 On Your Side Tuesday evening that he is officially running for New York's 27th Congressional District seat. Mychajliw created an official website for his campaign.
The NY-27 seat has been empty since the resignation of former Congressman Chris Collins.
Three Republicans have already announced they are running for the seat: State Senator Chris Jacobs, attorney Beth Parlato, and State Senator Robert Ortt.
Democrat Nate McMurray, the current Grand Island town supervisor, also announced he will be running for the seat.
Congressional Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia is not running.
