BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Fire Department is more than just putting out fires.
Buffalo Firefighters successfully rescued a kitten from a sewer Thursday morning, along with their confined space team.
It's a reminder that they do so much for our community.
"We do more than just put out fires. This is what we do. We help out the public. We got a phone call from a concerned citizen that their kitten was down there - this is what we do," says Mark Hillery, Buffalo Fire Battalion Chief.
We're sure the kitten's owner is very happy to have their pet returned safe.
