97 Rock, Feedmore WNY host 14th annual 'Rock Out Hunger'

97 Rock teamed up with FeedMore Western New York to raise money and collect donations of frozen turkeys and nonperishable foods for those in need.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The 14th annual "97 Rock Operation: Rock Out Hunger" kicked off Tuesday morning to help feed those in need.

Hunger is an issue for a lot of families, and during the holidays it can make an already stressful time even worse. 97 Rock teamed up with FeedMore Western New York to raise money and collect donations of frozen turkeys and nonperishable foods for those in need.

97 Rock's DJ Jickster is sleeping on a trailer for an entire week in order to collect donations and spread awareness.

"The people that rely on FeedMore WNY are veterans, senior citizens, a lot of them hard working people that work two jobs that have to decide whether to pay a heating bill or put food on the table," said DJ Jickster.

Donations can be dropped off 24/7 until Tuesday morning at the trailer in the parking lot of Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital on Maple Road in Williamsville.

Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Gaelyn Clay-Adams by email at gclay-adams@feedmorewny.org or by phone at (716) 852-1305.
