BUFFALO, N.Y. — Both the prosecution and defense have now rested in a double homicide trial in Buffalo.
Kenyatta Austin is accused of shooting and killing Yvette Johnson and her 17-month-old grandson, Kyrie, in July of 2018.
It happened as Johnson was celebrating her 54th birthday on Grape Street.
The trial resumes Friday morning, when defense attorneys are expected to file a motion for dismissal.
A verdict is not expected Friday.
