Cheektowaga man sentenced to 107 years in prison for attempted murder

Mark Dublino, 54, will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.

BUFFALO, NY-- A Cheektowaga man convicted of attempted murder, assault and burglary will spend the next 107 years in prison.

Mark Dublino, 54, was sentenced in court on Friday. Dublino attacked his former girlfriend and her friend with a sledgehamer in her Williamsville home. He then went to the victim's elderly father's home and beat him with a shovel.

All three victims are still recovering from their injuries. Two of the victims spoke to reporters after court. They say they are satisfied with the sentence Dublino received.

Dublino was supposed to be sentenced earlier this month, but a few days before his court date, he allegedly attacked his defense attorney, Joseph Terranova, at the Erie County Holding Center. He was charged in connection with that assault.

Dublino said in court he plans to appeal his conviction.
