Adoption fees waived for veterans at SPCA

Veterans who are looking to adopt will be able to do so for free through the SPCA till November 14.

ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Veterans who are looking to adopt will be able to do so for free through the SPCA till November 14.

The Erie County SPCA is waiving animal adoption fees for individuals on active duty, reserves, service-disabled veterans or those who are retired from military services.

The program runs from Monday, Nov.2 through Saturday, Nov. 14.

A military ID or DD214 will need to be presented. There will still be a $30 administrative fee for every adoption. 

Animals are available for adoption at any SPCA location including the 205 Ensminger Road, Tonawanda Shelter; the Eastern Hills Mall adoption site; or one of the other offsite adoption locations.
