Oats Has UB Bulls Riding High

UB men's basketball coach Nate Oats discusses where the program is and what he expects to accomplish moving forward.

AMHERST, NY- These are exciting times for the University at Buffalo. The men's basketball team won its first ever NCAA tournament game by beating up on nationally ranked Arizona. The Bulls lose in the second round to another national powerhouse, Kentucky.

The women also won their first NCAA tournament game in their historic season.

Monday men's head coach, Nate Oats discussed a variety of topics with the media, including Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar.

Oats called the win over Arizona, "huge, the biggest night in program history." Oats said there's no reason the Bulls couldn't become like other mid-major programs, like Butler, Gonzaga and others that are consistent threats in the NCAA tournament.

UB loses one key contributor, guard Wes Clark from this year's team.

A MAC title next year gives the Bulls four conference championships in five years.
