Adam Benigni is the Sports Director and fill-in news anchor at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York.

Adam has been with 2-On-Your-Side since July of 1997. His first day on the job was the day the Sabres introduced Lindy Ruff as head coach. During his time in Buffalo, Benigni has covered everything from the Bills and the NFL, to the Sabres numerous playoff runs and trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999.

Adam arrived as the weekend anchor and currently anchors the evening sportscasts from Sunday to Thursday. He also hosts Sports Talk Sunday and anchors weekday evening news when main talent is off.

Adam has received a number of awards through the years that include four Emmy nominations, two Edward R. Murrow regional award for sports reporting, an Associated Press first place award for his coverage of the Sabres season opening trip to Europe in 2011, and a Best of Gannett for sports anchoring and reporting in 2006.

Adam is originally from Bridgewater, Massachusetts which is about 30 miles south of Boston. He attended Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991. Prior to joining WGRZ, Adam worked for five years at WSTM-TV, the NBC affiliate in Syracuse as a sports anchor and reporter. He also worked as radio color commentator for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League during his time in Central New York.

Adam and his wife Lorrie Turner live in Amherst, along with their two rescue spaniels Sadie and Cabo, along with their rescue cockapoo Dublin.
