BUFFALO, N.Y. — As we enter the holiday season, we know that you may have guests coming into town or you may be traveling yourself for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The overall story is that travel will be bit trickier than earlier in the week. There will be a big low pressure system swinging into Western New York and it will be a bit of a disruption for travel over the weekend.

Saturday Travel:

If you are traveling around Western New York, you don't have to worry about any issues because the weather will be great. Dry roads and bright sunshine is what you can expect around our region and throughout the northeast. Saturday really is the best travel day of the weekend, as compared to to Sunday.

However, a low pressure system will be moving into areas like Little Rock and St. Louis, which could bring a lot of rain to those areas through the day on Saturday.

Sunday Travel:

That same system will be continuing its trek northeast and impacting our region on Sunday with a soaking rain along with some breezy conditions. Travel could be difficult with some pockets of reduced visibility.

This storm will also be impacting a large section of the United States including areas like Cleveland, Norfolk, Raleigh, and New York City by evening. There may be some delays due to weather for flights departing and arriving on Sunday, if conditions are poor enough. So just a reminder to check your flight status before heading to the airport, especially on Sunday.
