An overnight storm knocked trees down and left power out for thousands of people around Western New York.

BUFFALO, NY - An overnight storm knocked trees down and left power out for thousands of people around Western New York.

In Buffalo, 15 trees were damaged in the storm. All have been cleared according to officials.

On Pfohl Place in Williamsville, a tree branch fell on a power line and a car.

Storm Team 2's Patrick Hammer says wind gusts reached 62 MPH overnight at the airport.

NYSEG reports around 1,100 outages in Erie County and Niagara Counties.

National Grid currently reports around 600 outages in WNY. That's down from nearly 8,000 overnight.
