BUFFALO, N.Y. — Another afternoon of strong storms across Western New York for the second day in a row.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was issued for portions of Genesee and Erie County was allowed to expire early Wednesday evening. 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail were the primary threats. This cell was previous severe warned until 5 p.m. Pea to nickel size hail was reported with this cell falling near Darien, NY Wednesday afternoon.
Scattered thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon could bring small hail, heavy rain and lightning across the region through the evening.
