Steady snow showers will remain organized over parts of the Southtowns and Southern tier through early Friday morning. Snowfall rates will generally be light, but some of the more persistent showers could produce another 1-3 inches by Friday morning in Erie and Chautauqua counties.

That will add to the 2-5 inches that accumulated Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Final snow totals will range from 2-4 inches around Buffalo and 2-3 inches near Niagara Falls. Snowfall totals in Allegany and Cattaraugus county should reach 3-6 inches. The snow belt spots in southern Erie and Chautauqua counties will see slightly higher totals ranging from 6-8 inches.

Bitter cold follows the snow this time around. Temperatures will drop into the single digits in Buffalo for the first time all season Friday morning. Wind chills will also stay below zero for much of the day.
