NEW ORLEANS — Monday is the final day of the extremely active and record breaking 2020 hurricane season.
We had a record 30 named storms, 13 hurricanes (the record is 15 in 2005) and six major hurricanes (the record is seven 7 in 2005).
We are tracking a disorganized non-tropical low meandering near the Madeira Islands, north of the Canary Islands off Africa. It could gain some subtropical characteristics the next few days as it moves slowly just west of Portugal. IT has a medium chance for develop. If it does develop, its name would be Kappa
