CLARENCE, N.Y. — After being closed since 2014, Tonawanda Creek Road in Clarence will reopen to traffic on Thursday.
A portion of the road collapsed into Tonawanda Creek nearly six years ago.
Since then, crews from both Niagara County and Erie County have been working to get the road repaired.
Crews worked to stabilize the Tonawanda Creek slope and reconstruct the roadway in Clarence, Lockport and Pendleton.
The project was funded through state and federal funds.
Niagara County Chairwoman Becky Wydysh and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, will be on hand for the ribbon cutting.
