BUFFALO, N.Y. — On Tuesday morning, snow was expected to begin before the morning commute and last a few hours, easing up in the afternoon.
While it's uncertain if all of the accidents reported Tuesday morning were caused by snow, the National Weather Service has warned of slick travel conditions. Here's the latest on traffic and accidents in the Buffalo area as of 8:50 a.m.:
On the 219 heading north near Genesee Road, an accident involving an 18 wheeler has sent debris all over the road. Exercise caution while driving.
At South Elmwood Avenue & West Eagle Street in Buffalo, an injury accident has been reported.
At East Ferry Street & Moselle Street in Buffalo an injury accident has been reported.
At Elm Street & Clinton Street in Downtown Buffalo, the traffic signal is out.
There have been minor accidents in Buffalo at Hertel Avenue & Elmwood Avenue, William Street & Bailey Avenue, and at Elmwood Avenue & Elmhurst Place; as well as in Lancaster at William Street & Transit Road and at Genesee Street & Pavement Road.
