Grand Island Bridge Lane Reductions

The latest phase of work connected to the cashless tolling system will mean lane closures.

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. — If you're planning on heading to or from Grand Island or Niagara Falls this weekend, you might run into some traffic backups.

The latest phase of work connected to the cashless tolling system will mean lane closures.

The north Grand Island bridge that carries traffic southbound from Niagara Falls will be closed until 9 a.m. Sunday, and the other north bridge will have one lane of traffic in either direction.

The ramp from Buffalo Avenue and the Niagara Scenic Parkway to the 190-South will also be closed.

Traffic patterns will continue to change over the coming weeks as crews work to remove the old toll barriers.
