Pet of the Week: Sammy is a playful young adult currently at the Buffalo Animal Shelter

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Sammy is a bigger boy that came to the Buffalo Animal Shelter as a stray.
He does know the "sit" and "paw" commands, which indicates he had a home at one time.
Sammy has some skin injuries that he came to the shelter with but they seem to be healing quite nicely, and in a home setting with good food, lots of love, and a comfy dog bed to lay on, he is sure to have a shiny, healthy coat, and his injuries will resolve.
Don't let what’s on the outside deter you from meeting this peppy guy who loves his daily walks!
Sammy also has a lot of puppy-like qualities to him, so be prepared for a fun loving guy!
He gladly greets people and has offered many licks when given the chance. He also enjoys plopping next to you and even on your lap if you’re ready for some cuddle time.
He likes his toys in the yard and seems very receptive to a tennis ball.
Having a puppy is cute and fun, but giving an adult dog a new chance in life, and providing him a home could be more rewarding.
The shelter believes Sammy is about two years old.
