Vlad Guerrero Jr. set to join Bisons

The Toronto Blue Jays have promoted their top prospect, and the top prospect in baseball to the Bisons.

BUFFALO, NY- Tuesday night promises to be a special night for baseball fans in Buffalo. Vladimir Guererro Jr. will be in the Bisons line up against Lehigh Valley.

Guererro Jr. is the Blue Jays top prospect and the top prospect in all of baseball. He is the son of Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero.

Jr. has put up incredible numbers in AA baseball with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He's batting.402 with 14 home runs and 60 rbi's in 61 games for the Fisher Cats. He's the youngest player in AA baseball. Jr. spent a little over a month on the disabled list. With just 10 more plate appearances his average would qualify and he 45 points higher than any hitter in the minor leagues. The same for his slugging percentage which is .671. With those extra 10 appearances that too would qualify and it would top of the minor leagues by an incredible 54 points.

The Bisons open a five game series against Lehigh Valley Monday night. Vlad Jr. joins the team Tuesday for his first exposure to AAA pitching. The Bisons are scheduled to play a doubleheader Wednesday, one game is a make up game of an earlier rain out and the series is scheduled to conclude Thursday afternoon.

Circle Tuesday night for when third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. joins the Bisons lineup.
