Report: Williams ACL Intact

Report: Williams ACL is in intact.

The NFL Network's Ian Rappaport reports that the ACL of Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams is intact.

The Bills are waiting for the results of an MRI to confirm that report.

Williams had his leg rolled on in the second quarter of the Bills first win of the preseason Friday night in Cleveland.

If the Rappaport report is confirmed its believed that whatever the injury to Williams is, it won't keep him out for the season.

Harrison Phillips taken in the third round of the NFL draft will most likely be relied upon heavily during Williams absence. The injury to Williams might also benefit Adolphus Washington.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott is scheduled to address the media at 1:45 Sunday afternoon when he will hopefully provide an update on the injury to Williams and quarterback AJ McCarron. McCarron reportedly suffered a hairline fracture to his right collar bone.

The Bills return to the practice field Sunday. Their next preseason game is a week from Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Its a 4 o'clock kickoff at New Era Field.
