Moore leads Purple Eagles over Canisius

LEWISTON, N.Y. — Despite a double-double for junior Danielle Sanderlin the Golden Griffins fell to "Battle of the Bridge" rival Niagara by a final score of 81-62 Monday night from the Gallagher Center in Lewiston, N.Y.

With the loss Canisius fell to 2-17 overall and 1-8 in league play, while Niagara improved to 7-11 overall and 5-4 in MAAC play.

Jai Moore finished with a game-high 30 points, going 13-for-28 from the field and 3-for-9 from the 3-point range. Adia Brisker and Dagny Davidsdottir added 15 and 12 points, respectively. Brisker collected a team-high eight rebounds. Niagara shot 44.3 percent from the field, including a 33.3 percent mark from the perimeter, while turning 22 Canisius turnovers into 20 points.
