Lorenzo Alexander announces retirement after Bills' Wild Card loss

Following a heartbreaking 22-19 overtime loss to the Houston Texans, Bills veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander announced his retirement.

HOUSTON — Following a heartbreaking 22-19 overtime loss to the Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander announced his retirement.

Alexander, 36, told reporters after the playoff game that he made his decision a while ago.

"It's more about choosing my family than choosing football," Alexander said while in the Bills locker room. "I played 15 years. No regrets at all."

Alexander signed with the Bills in April of 2016 and never missed a game while with the team.

He promised to still be part of the Western New York community and stay close to the Bills organization.
