ORCHARD PARK, NY-- The Buffalo Bills have announced they've released WR Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes.

With Benjamin, it wasn't a question of if, more a question of when given his lack of production.

Benjamin, 27, had just 39 catches for 571-yards and two touchdowns in parts of two seasons with Buffalo.

By any account, the trade for him was a failure by Bills GM Brandon Beane. The Bills dealt third and seventh round picks to Carolina for him near the deadline last season.

The Bills also announced the signings of CB Denzel Rice and DE Mike Love from the practice squad.
