ORCHARD PARK, NY - Matt Milano's season is over after having surgery on a broken fibula Monday morning.

The Bills' second-year linebacker hurt his leg late in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Jets. The injury came after his leg was twisted when he stopped Jets quarterback Sam Darnold on the Bills' 1-yard line with 1:22 left in the game. He was then carted off the field.

Milano is tied with Jordan Poyer for most interceptions on the team with three. Milano is also second on the team in tackles behind Tremaine Edmunds with 78.

"I thought he really grew this year. We'll miss him but look forward to getting him back in the offseason," Bills head coach Sean McDermott said.

Other injury updates:

LeSean McCoy is day-to-day with a hamstring injury after he left Sunday's game and did not return.

Chris Ivory is day-to-day with a shoulder injury.

Stephen Hauschka is day-to-day with a hip injury.

Ryan Lewis is in the concussion protocol.
