ORCHARD PARK, NY- The agent of former Buffalo running back Fred Jackson announced his client will sign a one-day contract Wednesday to formally retire as a member of the Bills.

Jackson has been out of football since spending the 2015 season with Seattle.

The 37-year-old was a fan-favorite during his first eight seasons in Buffalo after making the team as an undrafted free agent in 2007. Jackson finished with 5,746 career-yards rushing and 39 touchdowns, including nine receiving.
