Andy Dalton thanks Buffalo in Instagram post

BUFFALO, NY - Following his stop in the Queen City this past weekend, Andy Dalton took to Instagram Tuesday to thank the community for the support to his foundation over the past year.

You can see the post below:

There is so much to be thankful for with all the support and love we have received from Buffalo. @jjdalton5 and I never thought we would be giving to the city of Buffalo but the generosity from so many people made it happen. A touchdown that won us a football game ended up raising over $450,000 with over 18,000 donors from a fan base that isn’t even ours. JJ and I knew something big was happening last year but we didn’t know what it was. We felt God moving in our lives but didn’t know what He was doing until after that game. God is good! I want to thank JJ for all that she does for our family and our foundation. She takes on so much and it wouldn’t be what it is without her passion, hard work, and love for serving and helping those in need. Next, @prolanthropy thank you for taking our passion and ideas and making it happen. Y’all are amazing. I want to thank all of our board members and their spouses. Your thoughts, ideas, help and time have allowed us to grow over the 7 years! Thanks @aaronfarrier for capturing all the special moments we have with the foundation. I also want to thank @roswellpark for opening your hospital to the Hub and allowing us to donate to the Angel Fund and to the city of Buffalo. We pray this will bless the children and their families. Finally I want to thank all the Bills fans everywhere across the world that made donations. Your generosity is going to impact so many children and families. Thank you for making a difference in helping those in need. Thank you! Ephesians 2:10

As Bills fans remember, Dalton and the Bengals helped send the Bills to their first NFL playoff appearance since 1999 last football season, after Andy Dalton's improbable go-ahead touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter knocked the Baltimore Ravens out of the playoffs.

After that game, Western New Yorkers sent more than $400,000 in donations to the Daltons foundation as a 'thank you for helping us end the playoff drought' gift.

This past weekend, the Daltons returned the favor, with the Andy and JJ Dalton Foundation making a donation to Roswell Park's Pediatric Department and the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation Angel Fund.

"There is so much to be thankful for with all the support and love we have received from Buffalo. [My wife] and I never thought we would be giving to the city of Buffalo, but the generosity from so many people made it happen," Dalton says.
