LeSean McCoy said he's focusing on football and not the investigation involving a home invasion and assault earlier this month.
"My main focus is here," McCoy said Thursday from St. John Fisher College before the Buffalo Bills' first training camp practice. "My teammates, my team, trying to build together and camp and reach a goal together, and that's winning a championship."
McCoy spoke to the media for the first time since his ex-girlfriend was the victim of a home invasion in a house he owns in Georgia.
"Right now it's an open investigation so I'll leave it at that," McCoy said. "I want to be that leader for my teammates and be in the best shape possible for the upcoming season."
McCoy cut off a reporter who asked about the investigation and said he only wanted to speak to the media about football.
"I've said it three times," McCoy said. "This is about football. That's what this is about."
McCoy said he's spent the offseason training with fellow NFL running back Frank Gore.
