Clymer/Sherman/Panama earned the Wolfpack’s first trip to the Carrier Dome to play for the Class D State Championship with a dominating 54-19 win in the semi’s over Tioga. MVPs in the game were Gerrit Hinsdale who passed for 364 yards and 4 touchdowns, Cam Barmore who caught 8 passes for 214 yards and the Wolfpack offensive line. Ty Harper’s squad has been number one in the state Class D poll since week 1 and in 12 games have scored 485 points and allowed only 115 points. The team will look to add to Section VI’s 23 state titles on Friday, November 23rd at the Carrier Dome vs. Moriah or Haldane.

West Seneca East defeated Indian River 50-42 to earn its first berth to play in the Class A State Championship game versus Cornwall. MVPs for the Trojans were Shaun Dolac who rushed for 236 yards, 5 touchdowns and 12 tackles, Devare Mathis who scored a touchdown and recorded 11 tackles and the offensive line. The Trojans scored 21 points in the 4th quarter to earn their comeback victory. The title game is scheduled at 3pm Friday at the Carrier Dome. Last year Matt Myers led the Indians to a state title and Jim Maurino and his squad look for a repeat to earn another title for the town of West Seneca.

Cleveland Hill lost a heart breaker 21-20 to Susquehanna to finish the season at 10-2. The Golden Eagles were led by Aaron Wahler, Javon Thomas and Chris Diem. Section VI will have West Seneca East and Clymer/Sherman/Panama competing for state championships at the Carrier Dome Friday while Aquinas and Batavia from Section V will play for state championships on Saturday.
