Cleveland Hill Golden Eagles

Golden Eagles Advance to State Semi-Finals.

Cleveland Hill improved to 10-1 with a dominating 54-6 win over Letchworth/Warsaw. The Golden Eagles were led by a strong defense and an offense powered by the offensive line and the rushing of Aaron Wahler and Javon Thomas. Glen Graham’s squad accumulated 467 rushing yards to the opponents 40 yards and defense allowed only 5 first downs. The Golden Eagles advance to the State Semi-Finals at Union Endicott High School in Binghamton on Saturday November 17th. Congratulations to Glen Graham, coaching staff, and players.

West Seneca East Trojans

West Seneca East advanced to the State Semi-Finals for the first time with a 15-8 victory over previously undefeated Irondequoit from Rochester. The Trojans were led by their defense which recorded and interception, 4 sacks, 10 tackles by Shaun Dolac, and limited the Eagles to only 55 offensive yards in the second half. The Trojans improved to 10-1 and will play Friday November 16th at 8pm at Union Endicott High School. Congratulations to Jim Maurino, coaching staff, and players.

CSP Wolfpack

CSP wins Far West Regional.

The Wolfpack improved to 11-0 with a dominating performance against previously undefeated Alexander 29-6. Derek Echlund led the offense rushing for 186 yards and a TD while the defense was led by Cam Barmore, Chance Meeder, Robbie Overton, and Steve Ryan. Ty Harper’s squad only led 8-0 at the half, but scored 21 points in the second to clinch the victory. CSP had 338 yards in total offense compared to the Trojans 189 yards. The Wolfpack’s offensive and defensive lines were outstanding and will play in the State Semi-Finals at 4pm November 16 at Union Endicott High School. Congratulations to Ty Harper, coaching staff, and players.

Lancaster Legends

Lancaster loses to Aquinas 39-7 in Class AA Far West Regional.

The Little Irish dominated to Legends with a total of 391 offensive yards compared to Lancaster’s 182. Aquinas was led by Caron Robinson who rushed for 250 yards on only 11 carries and 2 touchdowns. Legends were down 19-0 at halftime and only scored 1 late touchdown. They were led defensively by Dan Empfield, Shawn Davis, Conor Mahoney and Nick Meara. The Legends finished 9-2 and are 31-4 for the last 3 years. They have 3 sectional titles, 1 far west title, and played for a state championship last season. Congratulations to Eric Rupp, Dave Mansell, Brian Wild, the coaching staff and players.

Cheektowaga Warriors

Warriors Fall to Batavia in Far West Regional

Cheektowaga, who only allowed 61 points in 10 games were dominated by Batavia with their star RB rushing for 417 yards and 8 touchdowns. Ray Leach will be the Class A State Player of the Year. In the Section V championship, he rushed for 330 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Warriors were led by Taivaughn Roach who recorded 11 tackles, Daron Lewis, Keshone Beal and Fred Parsons. Beal finished the season with a total offensive production of 2732 yards and 35 touchdowns. The Warriors finished 9-2 and have played in 5 consecutive sectional championships winning 4 and losing 1. Congratulations to Mike Fatta, the coaching staff and players for an excellent season.

St. Francis Red Raiders

St. Francis Wins Msgr. Martin League A Title

The Red Raiders defeated the Crusaders 20-16 for the first League A championship. Jerry Smith’s squad was led by the play of Jake Ritts, Dan Browning, Xzavier Janczylik and Matt Jaworski. The Crusaders were led by Joe Jamison, Joel Nicholas and Christian Veilleux. The Red Raiders will play for the Catholic State championship.

Cardinal O’Hara Hawks

Cardinal O’Hara Wins Msgr. Martin League B Championship

The Hawks dominated Timon/St. Jude with a 32-6 victory to win the first League B championship. The defense was outstanding, recording 4 turnovers and 11 sacks for Shaquille Dudley’s squad. The offense was sparked by Jermaine Haynes Jr., passing for 149 yards, 3 touchdowns and 101 yards rushing by Brandon Broadnax. The Hawks finished with a 5-5 record and will return 21 players from the title squad.
