BUFFALO, N.Y. — Lance Leipold has turned UB football into a competitive team once again and now has a chance to build on that success for another few years as he signed a contract extension through the 2024 season.

Leipold led the Bulls to their first bowl win in program history with a 31-9 win over Charlotte in the Bahamas Bowl in December.

The program continues to take steps under Leipold as this was the third straight year the Bulls were bowl eligible and the second year in a row they went to a bowl game. UB lost to Troy in the Dollar General Bowl in 2018.

Leipold is 31-32 over his five years as head coach.
