LOS ANGELES — In a series of moves Wednesday, the Los Angeles Chargers signed former University at Buffalo receiver Anthony Johnson to the practice squad.

Starter Mike Williams suffered a knee injury in the season opener, and his status for Sunday's game at Detroit is in question.  That has led to speculation Johnson could get a chance to play.

Johnson joined Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent before being cut.
